NY, I LOVE
ONE LOOK AT HER FRESH FACE, and it's easy to imagine Jorjeana Marie as too sweet to be a heavy hitter. But that would be a mistake in judgment.
With a wit and sophistication that belies her youthful looks, Jorjeana dissects NY life at the same time that she lauds it. I've been a fully naturalized New Yorker for 16 long years, yet her poetry/theater piece takes me back to those first days in town, and plants me firmly in the rich and luscious ground of New York City. Her characterizations and mimicry are first rate, and the power of her poetry carries with you when you leave the theater.

(3) One Woman Shows
Jorjeana attended NYU's TISCH School of the Arts for Dramatic Writing and has written three one woman shows: "Bliss", "Ally, MaryJane & Me" and "NY, I LOVE" which have been produced and performed in NY & LA and internationally in Italy and The Bahamas.
oh, yeah!
Ally, Maryjane & Me
Playwright Jorjeana Marie originally wrote Ally, MaryJane & Me as a solo show and has performed it on both coasts. For the Cobblestone production, she adapted her script to include characters that she would have acted out or otherwise described as the main character tells the story of her childhood, addictions, and recovery... . it worked beautifully.
The inescapable assumption is that Ally, MaryJane & Me is based on real life. Drama is shaped differently though, and when characters click they can really take off. And when villains are played as well as they are here, there's nothing to do but sit back and enjoy.

Jorjeana Marie Wins Popular Vote for "ALLY, MARYJANE & ME"
Jorjeana was an amazing performer and her one-woman show will go a long way. Jorjeana's wit, intelligence, pluckiness and light-heartedness make her show completely work. I am proud to bring her back for a return engagement...
