EVERY Sunday night a funny and talented comic named Jorjeana Marie gathers a group of comics to fill the downstairs room of
The Village Lantern, at 167 Bleecker Street,
hosted by the very funny Rick Younger who started his career as a singer he's got the voice
to prove it.
The night I was there, I had the pleasure of hearing Ross Bennett, a real crowd pleaser, Clayton Fletcher, Joseph Rocha, Wil Sylvince, and Lori Sommer who I had seen previously at Gotham.

"Chris Jones, Greg Rodruigues, Giulia Rozzi, Jorjeana Marie and John Curtin took the stage. The difference between the Vault on this night and the Vault of Thursday was vast-the Vault can be very, very good... or it can be, how shall we say, inhospitable...
this night, it was very, very good."

AUTHORJorjeana Marie brings these vices comically to life, as Ally (alcohol) and MaryJane (marijuana) help her protagonist escape her chronic medical problems and dysfunctional family, which includes an abusive father and suicidal mother.
Can the artist learn to live a fulfilling, chemical-free existence?
Presented by Cobblestone Productions and directed by Dan Spurgeon, the show features Campbell Echols, Michael Simon Hall, Elleen Hannah, Ron Micca, Foye Dashiell, Kelli Hornachek and Mary Regan.
Ally, MaryJane & Me was originally a solo show that the author performed in Los Angeles and New York, where it won the NYC Theater Slam's Popular Vote this past May. Coincidentally, Off-Broadway will see the spoofy musical Reefer Madness this fall.
